Blue Liberal

My suggestion for a negative NDP ad:

CHYRON: [blue on black] "Blue Liberal"

Blue tint, blue trim, waving blue Canadian flag. Upbeat music.

VOICE OVER: Prime Minister Paul Martin.

VOICE OVER: Conservative MP Scott Brison has joined his team.

B-roll of Paul Martin with Scott Brison.

VOICE OVER: Former Conservative Premier Ernie Eves says 'He gets it'.

B-roll of Martin and Eves. Blue trim still waving.

VOICE OVER: And Alberta's chief Conservative Ralph Klein called him Canada's 'best hope' for a conservative Prime Minister.

B-roll of Martin and Klein. Music and montage still cheery.

VOICE OVER: Paul Martin: Liberal?
LOGO: [Liberal Party logo, blue]

(This ad was inspired by Alberta Premier Ralph Klein.)

Too subtle maybe?

UPDATE: I added the idea of a blue Liberal Party logo after posting. This is -- no doubt -- a trademarked logo, but such an ad would probably be protected as satire. It could, however, provoke a Franken-style lawsuit.

I won't be able to see the article as I live overseas, and I only vaguely get what your are describing (my fault, not yours) but I would REALLY have to think twice about voting for anyone recommended by Ralph Klein.

That's the idea.

How could you not like Ralph Klien? are you some sort of Communist? The Klien Conservatives have given Alberta hope, it was because of Klein that the seperatist movement never happened 100% in Western Canada, the NDP are a desperate Party that has no chance of ever doing better then 3rd place, they might be able to get a little more then 30 seats if lucky, which will be not even half of what the second place Conservatives get, or a third of the Liberals. The NDP = Non Dependable People, which they are, get you stuff together, the NDP wont even be around in 10 years anyway.

I find it more than a little informative that you misspelled "Ralph Klein".

Left-wing Liberal, Bloc, Green and NDP voters make up a super-majority in this country. Like it, or not, the vast majority of Canadians couldn't disagree more with Ralph Klein.

That reaction is sooooo 50's, you'd be better off using "terrorist" as your new knee-jerk nickname.
