...Never Having to Say Your Sorry

An alarming trend has developed in Paul Martin's floundering election campaign: the head of our responsible government refuses to take responsibility for just about anything.

As we know, two Liberal cabinet ministers staged guerilla political events this week to attack Stephen Harper on budget and social issues.

Today, Paul Martin claimed to have had no prior knowledge of the events.

But tonight on Primetime Politics, head Liberal politico David Herle admitted that he not only knew about the ministers' plans to heckle Harper, but that Liberal campaign headquaters had sent them to do so. Amazingly, Herle maintained that Martin was left out of loop on this decision.

Paul Martin refuses to take responsibility for the myriad of scandals facing his government.

He refuses to take responsibility for increasing homelessness caused by his cuts to affordable housing.

He refuses to take responsibility for increasing privatization caused by his cuts to healthcare.

And now he refuses to take responsibility for his own campaign.

These guys came to office with no plan to govern, no vision for Canada and nothing to stand up for -- yet they thought this thing would be cakewalk. From a two hundred and forty seat majority to the most hapless Liberal campaign since John Turner.

Arrogant and delusional.
